About Me

Born in Aurora, Colorado and raised in the Atlanta Metro area of Georgia; J. Cannon is an aspiring Music Producer, clothing line/independent label owner, and overall artist. Inspired by 90's and early 2000's Hip-Hop and RnB as a child, he often dreamed about one day being a rapper or singer performing on stages just like some of his idols, such as Outkast. As an only child he usually kept to himself and never felt comfortable expressing his love for music until he joined band in school where he would find himself around friends from his neighborhood that would rap in ciphers. One day, in middle school, him and a friend made a pact that they would start a rap group together and work towards making their dreams a reality no matter what. Soon after the pact J. Cannon moved away with his family to a different city which almost derailed plans with his friend who was now across town. His high school years were spent learning how to make hip-hop beats rather than being the artist he once dreamed of being. After high school he attended AiA for Audio Production. During his time in college he became obsessed with learning how to do everything needed to put out music from producing, graphic design, audio engineering, web design, business, and many other things. These days he finds himself perfecting his plans to run his I.C. 3rd Eye Clothing Line, producing for and managing his artists/business partners Exitus and Drew Bolden who own ILL Caliber Entertainment together, and finding interests in creating artwork, books, and films in the future. The possibilities are bright and limitless in J. Cannon's eyes. Maybe just maybe he will one day become that artist on stage himself he dreamed about as a kid.
